The essentials

No certification or experience is needed to discover diving: the discover dive is done with a Scubapiti instructor, in the calm, clear water of the Moorea lagoon, a few minutes from Tipaniers beach.

From age 8

Children and adults alike, no previous experience needed.

6 metres maximum

In the lagoon, where the water is calm and bright.

11:30 am departure

Every day, all year round.

Gear included

Wetsuit, BCD, regulator, fins, mask and tank are provided.

How the discover dive works

Before getting in the water, your instructor explains the equipment and the few skills you need: breathing through the regulator, equalising your ears, communicating with hand signals.

Once in the water, your instructor stays by your side from start to finish. You go down at your own pace, to 6 metres at most, to discover the fish and corals of the lagoon.

You just need to be comfortable in the water. A health questionnaire is filled in before the dive; over 65, a medical certificate is required.
